OUR STORY

We are Denise and Peggy, the art director–copywriter team responsible for creating marketing communications and visual display experiences for what used to be the six locations of Creative Kidstuff, a specialty toy retailer in the Twin Cities. When Creative Kidstuff made the decision to close their doors, we knew that new ones were going to open for us. 

What makes us unique? It is the range of capabilities and experience we currently have stored in our creative boathouse. Not only have we generated traditional print pieces for both retail and wholesale marketing, but we have also redesigned a loyalty program, developed a toy testing/influencer program, generated graphics and copy for two additional store concepts at the Mall of America, and created work for a cable television show. In addition to these efforts for Creative Kidstuff, we were able to push concepts into the store environment with unique and playful displays that captured the minds of customers, both young and old.

Okay, so concepting...communications...customer engagement...that all sounds amazing. But WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY DO? We get asked this often! Denise does all of the art direction. Peggy does all of the copywriting. But together we work on ideation. We conceive of the look, the feel–the overall theme of the messaging at hand. With a retail holiday campaign, for example, we first establish an overarching concept. Then we flush it out, determining what it could look like in various marketing vehicles available to our client. We have the capabilities to create catalogs, direct mail pieces, customer email blasts and social media posts that all tie back to the chosen holiday theme. In addition to producing traditional marketing efforts, we are unique in that we are able to push a concept into the store through displays, signage and props. One of us writes. One of us designs. But together we also create unique visual displays and in-store experiences. We source, we create, we install. We do it all!
